Alternative Railgun Theory

I was telling my friend that Lorenz force is not the best way to explain how a railgun works… It’s easier to explain like this… When a current runs through a wire, the wire wants to become a straight line…. If it’s a closed circuit, it tries to become a circle… In a railgun, the only displacement that can occur is projectile moving outwards.
